Glow Community Center Volunteers celebrates over 2000 hours served in 2019!

2186 hours to be exact! 78 volunteers. 12 Events, 10+ Community Partners, 4 Projects, 1 MVP!

Throwback Thursday!

Our Program Director, Andrea Christo is our MVP in making things happen with our volunteers at the Glow Community Center.

We’d like to thank all our volunteers who’ve helped us make things possible, and also a big thank you to Andrea who’ve made huge sacrifices to coordinating our volunteers and helping them reach their goals from academics, community service and personal development.

Some of the projects and events our dedicated volunteers assisted in the planning and execution of are the Fall Festival, Monster Ball, Volunteer Holiday Party, CPR & AED Training, Red Envelope Arts and Summer Youth Internship.

Andrea has started many volunteer initiatives including the following

• Fundraising and special volunteer appreciation events & trips.
• Driving demographic research and community outreach
• Coordinating our adult and youth volunteers for intergenerational program activities.
• Homework Help, ESL/ESOL practice, SAT practice for our youth volunteers
