With the support of NYC City Council, the Glow Cultural Center is located at One Flushing, providing arts & culture and youth development programs and serving as a hub for community activity. We aim to serve the multi-cultural population of our community, including but not limited to the under-served new immigrant, low-income households residing in Flushing and nearby communities.

2023 Recap
GCC’s 3rd May Concert for AAPI Heritage, Mental Health Awareness, and Women’s Health Care Month has a new twist to its content! The addition of the “Building a Stronger Community” Resource Fair brought together dozens of city agencies and organizations, such as the NYC Commission on Human Rights, Office for the Prevention of Hate Crimes, and Mayor’s Office of Community Mental Health to share much-need info and public safety resources with the community.

GCC’s 3rd Chinese Lunar New Year Celebration Recap
On the coldest day of 2023, we gathered in the bustling center of downtown Flushing to celebrate the arrival of spring. With the help of Congresswoman Grace Meng, New York State Senator John Liu, City Councilmember Sandra Ung and many other important community leaders, GCC hosted a grand cultural fair, EXPO, and live performance for the year of the rabbit!
We all enjoyed a very special and memorable Lichun!

GCC Seminars: Community Solutions to Hate Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Program
On December 8th, GCC hosted a seminar about the Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Program. Mental Health First Aid is an eight hour certification training where it teaches you how to help someone experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge or crisis.

Army Service Month Career Fair Salute to Veterans
In observance of Veterans Day, Lieutenant Colonel Harold L. Morris Commander of the US Army New York City Recruiting Battalion hosted a Career Fair where distinguished soldiers, veterans, and community members of our local API community shared their army stories and cultural experiences. We learned about how we can serve on Active Duty, Army Reserve, or Commission as an Officer.

Mother’s Day Chinese Speech Competition
To celebrate Mother’s Day and promote Chinese culture, on May 8th, Chinese Radio Network hosted a “Mother’s Day” Chinese Speech Competition in Flushing, where up to a hundred participants attended and made a speech in Chinese to express their love for their moms.
