EVENT HOSTING VENUE
The Glow Cultural Center is an organization with 3500 sq.ft. event space which can be divided into 3 sections, complete with stage lighting, audio/karaoke system, retractable movie screen/high resolution projector, and a grand piano.

Tai Wang
Chairperson
Tai Wang started her career as a local business leader with husband, Tony Wang, through their ownership of a local supermarket in Maspeth, Queens in New York City. Her leadership skills grew when she became the Vice President of Finance and Co-Founder of the WAC Lighting Company and helped the company grow into an international industry leader of task and architectural lighting.

Doug Lee
Co-President
Douglas Lee is an active community volunteer. He served as the chairperson for the Chinese Cultural Association of Long Island (CCALI), an organization that celebrates diversity while promoting cultural understanding. He was a Boy Scout leader, and a volunteer for Gift of Life.

Jerry Lo is the President of Newport Air Express Inc.,an international cargo logistic company. In addition, he is the Director of Broad – Asian American Alliance of NY,

Alice Chan
Secretary
Ms. Chan received her Teacher’s certificate from Sir Robert Black College of Education
and her BBA in Management Information System at the University of Wisconsin –
Madison. She went on to work at Prudential Securities in Manhattan, rising to Vice
President involved in managing system development for commodity and asset trading. Subsequently Ms. Chan began pursuing her passion to increase cultural awareness and bridge-building in the local community through non-profit work.

Veronica Tsang
Executive Vice President
Ms. Veronica Tsang is an Executive Vice President of Cathay Bank. She has been in the banking industry for a long time where she is well thought of because of her deep respect for people and diverse cultures. Her personal experience as an immigrant has led Ms. Tsang to be active in numerous charitable, civic, social and cultural organizations primarily supporting Chinese-American Community.

Liang Ming
Director of Programs
Liang Ming is the newest addition to GCC staff team. She brings a diversity of skills and experiences in project programming, event planning and social media management. As President of New York Hanfu Corporation, a non-profit 501(c) (3) charity since 2017, she has led the organization from a small interest group to a popular institute of culture and arts.
Driven by a passion for community development, she loves working with children, teenagers and elderly, where she spent many years as a volunteer, social worker and language educator. She holds a master’s degree in Folklore and has been invited to conduct lectures on Chinese traditional culture throughout New York City. Her collaboration in Chinese-English translation of Myths of the Creation of Chinese is forthcoming.
