GCC’s Annual Fall Festival

Inspired by the autumn spirit of harvest festivals, community gatherings, and long-standing Chinese traditions like the Moon Festival, GCC’s Fall Festival welcomes people of all ages & all backgrounds to come celebrate the arrival of Fall while enjoying performances & activities prepared by local community organizations.

As our biggest event of the year, the Fall Festival is held every September at Kissena Corridor Park in Flushing, near Silent Springs Playground. In this free public event, thousands of Queens residents & New Yorkers gather to enjoy activities such as performances, volunteering, interacting with the community and more!

Live Cultural Performances

Our Fall Festival features a diverse array of performances, including lion dances, martial arts and sports demonstrations, diabolo (Chinese yo-yo) acts, and choruses from both children and adults. This event is a fantastic opportunity for artists and art organizations to showcase their talents and promote culture and traditions within our community.

Vibrant Booths

With over 60 booths set up by NYC businesses and organizations, our festival offers countless activities, including traditional Chinese games and riddles, arts and crafts, self-defense workshops, bouncy houses, and more.

Free Snacks & Giveaways

Family favorite popcorn and cotton candy will be available for both kids and adults to enjoy. Many thanks to our generous sponsors and supporters for providing numerous raffle prizes and giveaways for the public.

Traditional Hanfu Attire & Ethnic Dresses

Celebrate the incoming fall season dressed in rich cultural clothing and admire the beautiful dresses worn by attendees, reflecting the diverse cultures and traditions of our community. Hanfu NYC will display various outfits representing the rich traditions of Chinese clothing, providing the perfect photo opportunity!

Giving Back to the Community

Youth volunteers train for weeks in preparation for the Fall Festival, and we are proud to distribute City Council-approved Volunteer Certificates to all who help make the event possible.
