Free Public Documentary Film Screening – “No-Contact Delivery” 10/30/2021 7pm

@

The coronavirus pandemic took a heavy toll on NYC’s immigrant delivery workers. The coronavirus pandemic brought financial struggles, mental health challenges, racist attacks, and robbery targeting to this under-represented community. NYC’s 50,000 delivery cyclists are largely non-English speaking immigrants with demanding and isolating workloads. A female, Chinese immigrant, Documentary filmmaker, Jing Wang, has been filming Chinese food delivery workers in NYC for the past five years. She was also a key organizer mobilizing immigrant workers participating in the campaign to legalize E-bike in New York State.

On October 30, 2021 7pm, please join Jing and her delivery worker friends in a free public screening of her new film about delivery workers’ COVID stories. This is also an event honoring delivery workers who keep us fed during the Pandemic. The screening event will be in the heart of an immigrant neighborhood, Flushing, Queens at the Glow Community Center (133-29 41st Avenue, Flushing, NY 11355 1st FL).

Come join us! Saturday, October 30, 2021, 7:00PM, and Let’s celebrate our five years Journey “Ride with Delivery Workers”.
