GCC Zumba Class w/ Lamy

Glow Community Center (GCC) is hosting a Zumba Class. All levels are welcomed! Improve your health through Zumba. Zumba improves heart and lung health, helps with weight management, develops stronger bones, and reduced injuries. This is one workout where you will not be looking at the clock wondering how much longer before it's over. A good music playlist and dynamic moves to get you motivated.

[NYCC] Chinese Chorus (Sat 9am-11am)

New York Chinese Chorus (NYCC) promotes cultural exchange by performing both Chinese classical and folk songs to our communities. Tai Wang, as the president, creates an environment for all the music lovers to learn and enjoy music. With the hard work and enthusiasm from all the members, NYCC has organized and participated in musical and cultural events in the US and overseas, also have gained the recognition throughout the New York area. Last NYCC has won the champion from 2016 Hakka international chorus competition. Members are enthusiastic vocalists from China, Taiwan and Southeast Asia in New York area come together to introduce and enhance the understanding of Chinese culture through repertoire of folk songs, classical music as well as pop music.

CHINESE FOLK DANCE 中国⺠族舞 w/ Instsructor Keith Shen 沈⽼师

Instructor, Keith Shen (沈⽼师) leads the traditional Chinese dance program. Dance classes follow the classical style of traditional court dances and folk dances. Dance instills the student's passion for the art and spirit for creating beauty in the coordinated motion of dance. A person can achieve a healthy balance of mind and body and developed confidence, elegance, and coordination through dance. Learn with advanced artistry and develop dance that's beautiful, intricate, and expressive. For a great program to get down and participate in traditional cultural dance in Flushing, Whether you're a beginner or a pro, you can find a great dance class to stay fit and coordinated.

CHINESE FOLK DANCE 中国⺠族舞 w/ Instructor Grant Zhuang 庄⽼师

Instructor Grant GuiXuan. Zhuang, NYCCC School Director, graduated from the Beijing Dance Academy in 2009, majoring in Chinese Folk Dance performance. While studying at the Shandong Province Song & Dance Academy, Grant frequently represented his school in international performances, including a 2006 visit to S. Korea, to take part in a three- country friendship arts exchange, (S. Korea, Japan and China). Grant performed the Mongolian dance piece, Wolf Totem, which won second place at the 8th Taolibei National Dance Competition. He won an honorable mention in the CCTV National Dance Competition. He has also participated in the 2008 Beijing Olympics opening ceremony.2009 Grant join NYCCC, since then He has been a member of the New York Chinese Cultural Center teaching staff and has performed with Dance China NY.
